Product Family of Advanced Abrasion & Wear Resistant Steel Plates

Heavy steel plates are used across a wide spectrum of applications. from the mining of raw materials from mother earth to crushing, material handling, construction equipment, cranes, liners, etc. The plates used for these applications demand highly superior metallurgical properties that include high strength coupled with high toughness and hardness. Moreover, the plates have to exhibit consistent properties to avoid failures during applications, which include impact loads, lower temperature usage, high wear, etc.

Consistent demand from the end applications for superior wear life, higher payloads, lower maintenance costs, and ease of fabrication has ensured the development of a wide range of grades and products for these applications. The product family for advanced abrasion and wear-resistant steel plates now includes 400 BHN, 450 BHN, and 500 BHN plates.

At our Convergence Steel warehouse facility, we stock branded steel plates from Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel (AMNS-Rockstar) and Jindal Steel & Power (Rockhard). These branded plates are internationally acclaimed and have been used across the globe.

Cold Forming

Welding Method Lower carbon equivalent of Rockstar plates results in good weldability. All conventional welding methods like manual electric welding, submerged arc welding, inert gas welding can be applied
Thermal Cutting Rockstar plates are compatible with all thens, cutting processes including one plasina, and laser Preheating or 100 to 150°C is recommended for plates thicker than 20 men (10 mm for Rockstar 5001. Excess prereating above 200 C may reduce the hardness of Rockstar
